yes yes, it's securely a Alfa 33 1.7 boxer motor (I think 16v version). Do you know others people (more friendly and not so jelous! ) that done this swap? I need to know how did they arrange for the gear linkage!

I don't thik that someone else did that kind of swap..the most popular swap in poland is 899 , 903, 1,1 , 1,2 mounted in the back (as a stock engine) or mounted central in the car.... as i know you need a gear box from skoda rapid .. it has 5 gears foward and 1 rewerse .. because it's more stronger then a stock gear box.. I don't know what kind of gear box is in this 1.7 swap..

Ok Qulek for the info. I tried to put a 1.2 fire motor and, because of the gearbox resistance and gearbox position, I don't want to put it.
On the 126 boxer photos, the gearbox is the original Alfa 1,7 boxer garbox, but the problem is to change the gear. the lever, in the alfa 33, is behind the gearbox, so, in the 126, is behind the car!

It's 1712cm3 boxer engine with gearbox from Alfa-Romeo (33, 145/146, Alfasud), centraly mounted, rear end of the gearbox is mounted to fiat 126 engine belt, it must be built in construction frame to mount engine, and suspention on to it, its a difficult construction to buid and to drive it, it'll be very understear, you need to mount disc brakes if you wat realy to stop this monster, there are lot of modifications need to be done, to build safe, and powerful car like this.
